TARAVAT TALEPASAND


BIOGRAPHY

TARAVAT TALEPASAND (b. 1979 Eugene, OR) holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and was the recipient of the Richard C. Diebenkorn Fellowship Award in 2010. Her work has been shown in galleries internationally, including a recent solo exhibition at Jack Fisher Gallery/Minnesota Street Projects (San Francisco, CA), Zevitas Marcus (Los Angeles, CA), and Beta Pictoris Gallery (Birmingham, AL). Recent group exhibitions have been hosted by LACMA (Los Angeles, CA), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco, CA), Bartolini Gallery/San Rafael Civic Center (San Rafael, CA), Gallery 16 (San Francisco, CA), Minnesota Street Projects (San Francisco, CA), and Untitled Art Fair/Zevitas Marcus. Talepasand’s work is in the permanent collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (San Francisco, CA), de Yound Museum of Art (San Francisco, CA), the Center of Contemporary Art (Seattle, WA), The Orange County Museum of Art (Newport, CA), and Tufts University (Boston, MA).
